Screen Sharing: Now Available in Threema Work’s Desktop App

Threema Work’s new desktop app (beta) has received an update: it is now possible to share your screen with all participants in group calls on the desktop. This facilitates collaboration and ensures greater clarity in every meeting.

“Can you see my screen?” – If you’ve heard this phrase before, you’re already familiar with screen sharing on the desktop. This feature is now also available in Threema Work 2.0 for desktop (beta). Instead of having to explain something in detail, with the latest app version, you can now show presentations, documents, or applications to all call participants directly on the desktop with just a few clicks.

Sharing your screen in real time makes it easier to collaborate on projects, especially when not all employees are on site. It also allows you to answer questions and clarify issues more quickly, as everyone can see the same content.

To share your screen during a group video call in the desktop app, simply click on the screen icon in the menu bar and select the window or screen you want to share.

Secure screen sharing is currently available in group calls with Threema Work 2.0 for desktop (beta). Shared screens are not displayed in the mobile apps, but development of this feature is planned. To use the feature with a single user, we recommend creating a group with said person.
