Survey Feed: Involving Users in the Development Process

To better tailor the Threema app to our users’ needs, we’re introducing a new survey feed in the Threema Channel. In this feed, periodic user surveys will be conducted to help us identify relevant features and implement them in the best possible way.

Not only can Threema be used anonymously, it also doesn’t collect any data regarding how the app is used. While this has obvious advantages in terms of privacy, it also comes with a drawback for product development, as it is difficult for us to assess where improvement is necessary and how current features are being used.

To compensate for this limitation and better understand what our users need, we aim to engage in a closer and, above all, more systematic exchange with Threema’s user base.

While there has always been a feedback form where feature requests and other suggestions can be submitted, there is now also a survey feed in the Threema Channel.

Via this feed, we will periodically conduct short surveys or ask individual questions about upcoming features right in the app. This way, Threema users can actively engage in the app’s development, and we’re able to align new features with their requirements.
