Liquid Glass and a More Modern UI in Threema for iOS

New design, redesigned workflows, and additional features: Threema 7.1 for iOS offers more than just Liquid Glass.

Anyone who has already updated their iPhone to iOS 26 will have noticed the new design language Liquid Glass. Transparent surfaces, smooth transitions, and an overall lighter look characterize the system’s appearance. With version 7.1, this look is now also coming to Threema for iOS.

The Contacts tab, Threema Safe, and the interface for forwarding messages have also been visually redesigned.

In addition, there are several functional updates:

• You can now export all chats at once: To do this, go to “Storage Management > Manage All Chats” in the settings and select “Chat Export.” Individual chats can still be exported in the chat’s detail view.

• When forwarding media, the original caption can be included.

• New emojis are available for emoji reactions (requires iOS 26.4).
