On macOS and Windows, the desktop app automatically receives updates, which include improvements and bug fixes. If the error message “App Is Not up to Date” appears, the desktop app hasn’t been updated for more than 120 days. In this case, please update the app manually by downloading and installing the newest version for Threema or for Threema Work
On Linux, automatic updates are not yet supported. Please update the app manually (as described above).
